Stehle's Head

Look at what Stehle did! Not bad for a first try. She followed the instructions which really helped to get placement of the face parts down. She and Grandma both gave their heads "bug eyes", but Grandpa says that's easy to fix. He says to lose the top of the circle when drawing eyes. Compare Grandpa's eyes and the other two sets of eyes.

Since Stehle doesn't have a scanner, she just took a photo with her digital and sent that in.

Be sure to follow the instructions. Practice till you think you've nailed it. Sign your finished drawing and email to Grandma and Grandpa. Then watch for the group postings.

Found A Book

While shopping for a b-day gift for a grandson, I came across a cartooning book by Hal Tollison that is part of the Walter Foster Artist's Library Series. I ended up keeping it. Why? For a Cousins Project.

As I invision this project, I'll share a technique from Tollison's book. Then Walt and I, as the founding members will give it a go and post our results. In turn, each of our grandkids will have a go as well. We also invite my sister's grandkids to join the project. OK, Cousins, Let's Draw.
